Ugh, anyone else tired of this rain??? Been MIA lately, RL and all.
My inbox has been very quiet lately, no one wants to share their dirt with me I guess. So until the reviews and rants and raves roll in, you're stuck with my opinions!
I heardthat the riverboat tours can't even go under certain parts of the Traffic Bridge due to worry over parts falling! Holy moly, thank God nothing happened to the people who were driving over it while it should have been condemned.
Also, gotta say: Cosmo Industries needs to stop belly aching about this proposed curbside recycling plan. For Christ's sakes there is enough recycling to go around!!! Saskatoon is ridiculously behind the times...stone aged, when it comes to recycling. -40 and those stupid bins (WHICH by the way don't even facilitate all aspects of recycling) do not mix. More people would recycle if it was as easy as putting it on the curb. I know, I know, there are curbside programs. BUT they are costly, and who really thinks to call a recycling depot, other than those of us who recycle anyways. Sheesh. AND YES YES YES there should be bins in apartment buildings!
Thats my rant for today.
Try an keep dry :)
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteSomething that a lot of people don't know about the Curbside Recycling program - you get a Blue Bucks card that gives you discounts at a lot of different places across the city. Maybe they are places that you shop, maybe they aren't, but because of this, Curbside has the potential to pay for itself in discounts.
I do agree that we need a city funded recycling program though. And composting. Why is one of the richer (currently) cities in Canada so far behind in this?
Thanks for the info Vanessa! I'm not too sure how curbside works for an apartment building though. Oh well, I'll continue to lug my recycling to the bins!
